Rapper Lil Pump



Gazzy Garcia was born on October 2, 2001. His stage name is Lil Pump but he is often called Zippit, he is an American rapper who started rapping at a young age. Rapping is not the only thing he does he likes to write songs too and started uploading songs on SoundCloud in 2016. His SoundCloud page rose to more then 100 million views and was one of the reasons he wanted to become a big rapper.Together with fellow Miami rapper Smokepurpp, Garcia co-headlined the No Jumper tour in 2016, and also performed at the Rolling Loud Festival. Gazzy Garcia was born as a son of two Mexican parents.

His parents moved from Florida to Miami Gardens. Lil Pump is inspired by fellow rappers Chief Keef, Lil B, Fredo Santana. They learned that having your own style gives more status and more respect. At the age of 13, the cousin of Lil Pump introduced him to Smokepurpp. This was the start of a iconic duo. Lil Pump had a hard childhood, he was expelled from schools a couple times and fighted often with other children. He was the youngest kid in his class and was often bullied. He started listening to rap music when he was 15 years old. He looked up to rappers like: Drake, Kendrick Lamar and Meek Mill. He made a freestlyle on the instrumental of the track “Traumatized” by Meek Mill. This track goes about his father who introduced his son to rap music and his family. For Lil Pump his family is one of the most important things in his life. At the age of 17 Lil Pump made some serious steps to making it in the rap scene. He uploaded the track Lil Pump on YouTube and it went viral. He disses his mother because she thought he wouldn’t make it and at that time Lil Pump felt that he already had a lot of success. The song ranks up to more then 30 million views and it was one of the most suprising tracks in the rap scene. Even the website rap trends wrote an article about the new upcoming rapper. Because he is so young he makes still makes some mistakes, for instance he had a show at a nightclub in Las Vegas and a fan threw a bottle of water to the rapper. Instead of ignoring it he yelled to the fan that it wasn’t funny and he started calling the fan a bitch and he threw a microphone to the fan. The audience started fighting with each other and for this rapper Lil Pump is responsible.

Some people don’t like the rappers Smokepurpp and Lil Pump because they find them too arrogant. Lil Pump and Smokepurpp think that’s not fair. “If they knew me personal they wouldn’t say that, maybe it’s because they don’t like the new sound of rap music but this is my style. I like making “SoundCloud rap” and if people don’t like then don’t listen to it”. Lil Pump was only 16 years old when he was a famous artist and he is even more well known now. “I can’t even shop anymore, I always get reconized and people will take photo’s”. He likes to practise rapping in his spare time in his new studio that he bought himself. Practising rap flows and listining to other rappers makes him better he thinks. “If I wouldn’t listen to other rappers I wouldn’t make it, it’s because of Travis Scott, Kendrick Lamar and Rae Sremmurd I started making rap music”. He hopes that 2018 will be as successful as 2017.
